Director of Systems Engineering

Position Purpose

The major purpose for this role is to provide a central point of contact from Engineering to the rest of the company around product delivery and product/technology capability.
 

Scope and Responsibilities

• First Line of Engineering Field Calls and Escalation
• First Line of Manufacturing Calls and Escalation
• Customer Interaction and Problem Resolution
• First Pass Review of Configuration Changes Request from the Field
• First Pass Review of Architecture Recommendations from the Field
• Engineering Design Review Signoff
• Engineering Process Development
• Proactive View into Next Generation Data Center Requirements and Needs
• Deliver or Assist with White Papers as part of Product Launch Collateral
• Continuous Feedback into Engineering Develop Teams
• Assist in Lab debug and bring up

Experience and Requirements

• 10 Years or more experience in IT Industry
• Bachelor degree in related field, Masters Preferred or equivalent industry experience
• Proficient in MS Office Tools, Exchange and Project
• Mobile Connectivity
• Travelling required
 

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, sitting, walking, handling, feeling with hands, reaching with arms.
• Regular communication (hearing/speaking).
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
• Frequently involves working near moving or mechanical parts.
• Occasional risk of electrical shock.
• Vision requirements include: close, distant, color perception, peripheral, depth and ability to focus.
• Noise conditions are moderate.
