Senior Manager of Engineering Quality Assurance

Verari Systems, Inc. is the premier developer of powerful, flexible, and scalable platform-independent blade computing systems that are defining a new era in high performance utility computing for the enterprise data center is seeking a full time Senior Manager of Engineering Quality Assurance.
 

Position Purpose

Provides the leadership and final say in product quality. Drive continuous improvement to customer experience with Verari engagements. Interacts between customers, field support, engineering, suppliers and manufacturing to ensure best product quality and interoperability.
 

Scope and Responsibilities

• Responsibility for this position includes the development of an overall system test strategy to validate    end-to-end testing for all business units and departments that provide development, testing and installation    of all hardware and software elements relating to the Verari BladeRack2X and FOREST Container platforms.
• Strong preference will be given to candidates who have an understanding, capability and demonstrated    history of developing and implement testing tools and Automated Test Processes.
• Manage the System Test Plan that covers all phases of the system test lifecycle including test strategy, test    preparation, test data management, test planning and test execution. Create, maintain and archive all test    plans and test results in QAtraq, to facilitate historical tracking and future reference.
• Formulate and document testing strategies that will ensure the reliability, availability and serviceability of the    hardware and software being offered on all Verari platforms.
• Drive the creation of an internal Quality Assurance board to determine and document quality and testing    standards at Verari. Define, Implement and Manage an effective system test process to meet quality goals.
• Provide Root Cause Analysis for headquarters-, production-, and field-observed failures and failure trends,    and ensure Root Cause Analysis findings are documented and searchable by product, customer, and    vendor.
• Assist QA manager and staff in managing and developing team members, testing tools, overall quality and    cross-functional testing processes.
• Support the Quality Assurance discipline throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
 

Experience and Requirements

• 8 - 10 yrs of experience in Computer Hardware/Software testing
• 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software testing
• 5+ years of experience in a Project Manager role
• Proven experience & understanding of all phases of a hardware development lifecycle
• Ability to work in a highly integrated, iterative development environment which emphasizes speed and    proactive decision-making

• Vision requirements include: close, distant, color perception, peripheral, depth and ability to focus.
• Noise conditions are moderate.
