Sr. Test Engineer

the enterprise data center is seeking a full time Sr. Test Engineer.
Position Purpose
Responsibility for this position includes the overall systems test strategy for validate and end-to-end testing of Verari FOREST Containers and related hardware, software, and environmental systems.
Scope and Responsibilities
Under limited supervision performs various computer test operations on components or subassemblies. Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making. Assignments are moderately complex.
• Strong preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated experience with Environmental and Electromechanical systems, the development of Automated Testing Processes and Systems-of-Systems Engineering (SoSE).
• Manage the System-of-Systems Test Plan that covers all phases of the system test lifecycle, including testing strategy, test preparation, test data management, test planning and test execution.
• Create, maintain and archive all test plans & test results in QAtraq, to facilitate historical tracking and future reference.
• Formulate, document, and execute test strategies that ensure the Reliability, Availability and Serviceability (RAS) of all hardware & software being offered in Verari FOREST Containers.
• Participate in and drive the overall Verari Quality Assurance process, to determine and document quality & testing standards, including those for FOREST Containers.
• Define, implement, manage and execute an effective System-of-Systems test process to meet Container quality goals.
• Provide Root Cause Analysis for headquarters-, production-, and field-observed failures and failure trends, and ensure Root Cause Analysis findings are documented and searchable by type, product, customer, vendor, etc.
• Assist and manage assigned QA staff to develop individual team members, testing tools, overall quality & cross-functional testing and test results. Manage contractors as required.
• Support the Quality Assurance discipline throughout the entire Container development process and lifecycle.
• Occasional travel to Houston, TX will be required, time will vary by project stage
Experience and Requirements
• 5-7 years of experience of Electrical Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering
• 2-4 Years of Computer Hardware/Software testing and Failure Analysis
• 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing
• 2+ years of experience in a Project Manager role
• High voltage AC systems (400/480V)
• Data/Environmental Monitoring, Control and Logging
• Proven experience & understanding of all phases of a hardware development lifecycle
• Ability to work in a highly integrated, iterative development environment which emphasizes speed and proactive decision making
Preference will be given to candidates with the following additional experience and/or training:
• Systems-of-Systems Engineering (SoSE) and related testing Mechanical Engineering and Electromechanical systems
• Experience and/or training in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
• Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS Systems)
• HVAC, Chilled water cooling systems
• Internetworking, LANs, CANs
• High Amperage DC voltage distribution
• Modbus, IEEE-488 or similar control programs
• Solidworks or similar CAD packages
• MatLab, Flotherm, TileFlow or similar CFD analysis packages
• Licensed Professional Engineer or equivalent
• PMI Certifications ( PMI-, PMP, PgMP or CAPM )

BSEE, ME, MSEE or related degrees
