VB1280XL (Xeon)
The Verari Systems VB1280XL blade server for
the BladeRack® 2 XL (BR2-XL) platform is a high
performance blade system that is optimized for
space-constrained enterprise computing and data
center installations. With up to 72 blade servers
equaling 576 processor cores per platform, the
BR2-XL is the densest platform available that supports
both compute and storage solutions.
The VB1280XL server features the latest Quad-Core Intel® Xeon®
5400 Series processors and a 1600MHz front side bus
for increased performance. Using faster processors,
fully buffered DIMM modules and Intel Virtualization
Technology, the VB1280XL is the ideal solution for a
full range of compute intensive applications.
Customers across many industries using many
applications will benefit from the reduced
bottlenecking and increased performance of the

Each blade supports up to 64GB of fully buffered
DDR2-667 ECC registered memory and up to four 3.5”
hard drives for added performance and reliability. The
VB1280XL provides exceptional processing power
and scalability to meet the demanding requirements
of enterprise workloads.
The Verari Systems VB1280XL features Intel’s Demand
Based Switching and I/O AT technology which provide
increased power efficiency and network performance.
It supports the latest operating systems including
Microsoft® Windows® 2003 Server, SUSE Linux and
Red Hat® Linux.
